April Talk with Daniella Black

It’s April, the second month of Spring and does this mean April showers or will it be a time of sunshine end to end? We’re catching up with some business owners this month to see how things are looking for them. Today we're talking to Daniella Black who is a mortgage broker with TED Mortgages which seeks to provide excellent service and fee free advice.

How is April looking for you?
It looks like it is going to continue to be a busy month. We hope to get lots more mortgages approved and completed for our customers! 

With the cost of living increasing, we have noticed a lot more people are keen to remortgage to try and save some money. We will shop around and see what best deals we can get for our customers. 

Are you taking part in any wider events or business collaborations this month? 
I am going to start attending a new networking group which I am excited about and I'm looking forward to meeting new people who specialise in a wide range of businesses and share our expertise with one another. 

Not this month but over the next coming months we will look to start raising money for our charity event in July called Race to the Stones which is a 100km walk. We are raising funds for a charity that is close to our hearts, SNDogs.  

This month it’s Stress Awareness Month, what does stress mean to you? 
We have a very supportive team at TED Mortgages. We stay in touch often and will offer support where needed to each other. i.e. if someone is on holiday we will make sure we deal with everything in their absence so they can have a break. It is really important to have a break and spend time with friends/ family etc. 

I have some clients who have been through a tough time or are going through a tough time. I try to support them where I can i.e. get them a mortgage efficiently and with as little stress as possible. I will take time to listen to them and put their mind at rest that I will be looking after the case so they don’t have to! I will always try and liaise with estate agents / solicitors as much as I can to try make the process as seamless as possible 

Is it your birthday this month? 
It's not my birthday but happy to have a Birthday in April if anyone wants to celebrate with me!!!

Is it your business’s birthday this month or an anniversary of any kind? 
I have just reached my first year anniversary working as a mortgage broker with TED Mortgages. I can’t quite believe where the time has gone, they do say time flies when you are having fun! 

I have had a great year building relationships with lots of clients, helping people get on the property ladder as well as buying their dream home. 

The next year is looking very bright and I am looking forward to building on the relationships as well as  opening up more opportunities to provide advice on the equity release market and helping support even more people.
