C&D Group Managing Director Karen Davison-Renouf Elected to REC Council
Six new members were elected to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) council on Wednesday 17th June at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting.
Amongst the four non-executive directors elected to represent corporate members was Karen Davison-Renouf, Managing Director of well-known Swindon recruitment firm, C&D Group Ltd.
The REC is committed to raising standards and highlighting excellence throughout the recruitment industry. REC chief executive Kevin Green said: “We want our industry to be recognised as the engine that drives the jobs market. Our council plays a vital role in giving us strategic direction and I’m delighted to welcome our new non-executive directors, all of whom bring a wealth of experience, know-how and passion".
Karen has been owner and Managing Director of the successful Swindon recruitment firm since establishing it almost twenty years ago. Since then her ‘baby’ has grown into a well-established company with coveted REC Accreditation.
On her motivations and expectations Karen said: “My key reason for joining the REC Board of Directors is to encourage recruitment investment away from the traditional telesales approach, endemic within the recruitment market place, to a more customer focussed strategy. Promoting excellent recruitment practice at all levels so that every candidate journey is rewarding and rich in feedback, regardless of the end result.
I am really looking forward to working with the REC team and my fellow Board Directors who have so much to share, collectively can challenge any complacency within our industry and provide first class guidance to share amongst our members and customers.”
