October Talk With Charlott McAnsh from See No Bounds
It's October, the month of Halloween and the time when the clocks go back and we all get an extra hour in bed. How's the month looking for you and your business?
Today we're talking to Charlott McAnsh who is a director of the online community and business directory. She runs the business with her husband Jamie and their growing team.
What’s coming up for your business in Q4?
We are so excited to be launching a new website and this will allow our community to be able to communicate with each other within the platform, make friends, create groups, upload a member's profile as well as a business listing. You can also book a 1:1 and send instant messages. Lots of fun and we can’t wait to be able to share with the wider community.
This is a month for harvest and Halloween? Are either of these important for you in your business or organisation?
At See No Bounds we positively embrace each season, and this will be a really important time for our members within retail and food industries.
Our Live @5 The Roadshow is planning to go and visit our members that have special themes and events going on in October – first episode starts on 29th October via YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn.
October represents several awareness months, can you name some which are important for you?
All the awareness days are important for us as we promote them for all our different businesses so we recently had National Podcast Day when we talked to the wonderful Maria Newman about vie top tips about podcasting and we have World Mental Health Day when we interviewed our members that specialises in this field.
Every week we bring up awareness days that are happening in our community and often invite our members to take part to share their knowledge and also their services.
Last Sunday (October 10) was World Mental Health Day – how important is this subject in your business and in your life?
We think this is a really important awareness day and many of our members work within this field. We will be inviting them to feature on our live shows during this time, not only to make awareness but also share their expertise and give the audience help and guidance.
What practical activities do you participate in at home or at work to protect your mental health?
Outdoor activities and mountain walking is what we love to do and this is where we find headspace and peace and are able to clear our minds.
We are also very lucky to be surrounded by so many experts within mental health and wellbeing and take part in both webinars, courses and one to one coaching as well as alternative therapies.
It’s Halloween this month – what, if anything, does this mean to you and your business?
See No Bounds are all about celebrating every day and Halloween will be a time when we will look to our children activity companies that are all holding special events for Halloween and Natasha Baker from Kidslingo, Sara Butler from Cook Stars and Sophie Lewis from Pop Up Play Village will be promoting fun activities for all ages.
Clocks go back this month – an extra hour in bed? How do you feel about the darker nights etc?
An extra hour in bed would be most welcome and the one thing that we love about the darker nights is that you can happily put your feet up in front of the fire with a good book. We also love the colours outside during this time of the year. Just beautiful!
Have you got any events planned you’d like to shout about?
Every month we have a huge selection of events that our members are holding, some are free and a great way for business owners to gain knowledge in various areas and all the events are affordable with great content in lots of different areas.
We are also holding a walk and talk on Saturday 16th October when we will be climbing Snowdon with our members and some will be bringing friends and family.
Have you got any services or special offers you’d like to mention?
We will be introducing a free listing on our platform where you can try before you buy!
