Angela Ashworth, the co-director of tech-led accountancy firm Purple Lime is taking a back seat in the business she helped to found.
Well known in the business community in Wiltshire, Angela is moving away from day-to-day activities within the accountancy firm and will now focus on marketing and training up the company’s new office manager. Her back-seat role will not be office based.
“We’ve spent these last three and a half years growing our business and our team. This year, it is time for me to move away from the operational side of the business and prepare the team for my retirement.
“Lockdown has changed things for all of us, however this was always part of our long-term plan. Now I’m working with our new office manager to take on a lot of my responsibilities as we emerge from lockdown.
“I’ll still be part of Purple Lime yet in a different way and the team are preparing for the next phase in the company’s development. I love our team and I love Purple Lime, I feel now is the right time to prepare for supporting my growing family and being with my husband David who is already a very active retiree.”
Co-founder Oli Thomas will continue to be at the forefront of client work in the firm’s large office at Hartham Park, Corsham after lockdown.
Oli said: “We always had a strategy for growth within the business which played to both my strengths and Angela’s strengths. That’s why we work so well together. Now it is time for her to begin to move into the next phase of her life. I’ll continue to be hands on in the office, doing the job I love. I know Angela will have my back over the coming months and I’m very grateful to her for her unwavering support and inspiration.”
It was back in December 2016 that Oli and Angela set up Purple Lime as an accountancy firm with a fresh approach. They now have a team of 11 and their office is completely paperless. Today their clients include Sunhouse Creative Ltd – a brand design agency in Bath, MEI – a charity whose income is used to support mathematics education based in Trowbridge, Corium Health Ltd – a developer of cosmeceutical products.
They work with clients who embrace smart technology, wanting a digital platform for their finance department and want to work with an efficient, dynamic and data led accountancy practice. The team are also Silver Champion Partners with the accountancy software giant Xero. For more information visit https://www.purplelime.uk.com
