We recommend
It’s December – is this a busy time for your business? Why? If not, how do you make the most of the time you have this month?
I remain busy with my existing clients but I find I have less new enquiries at this time of year. Understandably who wants to think about tidying up their diet at Christmas time!
I am hoping to catch up on webinars that are part of my ongoing CPD (continuous professional development). It is essential I stay abreast of nutrition and microbiome developments – it’s an ever evolving space.
Christmas is coming – what does Christmas mean for you?
It’s time for reflection and quiet time with family and friends. I enjoy having time to relax with no pressure on me to be somewhere or with appointments.
What’s on Santa’s List for your business in 2022?
To expand my workplace wellbeing offerings. I love delivering workshops and companies are beginning to understand the importance of employee wellbeing.
If anyone wants to find out more about how I can support their team at work - do drop me an email to [email protected]
And what’s on your list personally?
To have a fit and well horse! It has been a challenging two years, very up and down. And frustrating and worrying to determine what has been wrong. Currently all is well and I hope it stays that way.
What has been your greatest business lesson this year?
Diary management. I am blessed to have a busy and growing client base but I need to be more disciplined about managing my time. As a therapist I can find I give a lot and overlook my own wellbeing. I need to better manage my time.
What have been your business highlights in 2021?
Having niched my business during 2020, I am now well recognised as a gut health expert attracting many clients and delivering great results (according to them I hasten to add).
I was approached to deliver a series of webinars for other practitioners worldwide for a global functional testing company. And I was thrilled with the feedback.
I have supported a local charity this year and I have raised £1000. As a sole trader I am very proud of this.
What have been your personal highlights in 2021?
I think I have to say resilience. I haven’t found this year to be easy, personally. But I’ve made it to the end of the year!
What will you do differently in 2022?
Be kinder to myself. Give myself permission to have more free time in my diary.
Is ‘giving back’ important to you, your business or organisation? Why?
I realise I am in a privileged position but others are not through no fault of their own. That’s why I supported The Churn, a Cirencester based charity celebrating 20 years that supports isolated and vulnerable people in the community.
Will you have a nominated charity for 2022?
I intend to continue my support for The Churn.
Have you got any special offers or deals you’d like to mention?
I shall be running another free January Jumpstart/Christmas Recovery programme at the start of 2022. A 7 day programme hosted in my facebook group (also free to join) with plenty of helpful nutrition, naturopathic and lifestyle advice to set you up for a healthy year.

What would be your best piece of advice for anyone in business for 2022?
Forget diets, forget fads. Learn the love of preparing and eating nutritious food that nurtures and heals your body.
And finally:
I’d like to thank all my clients, my support network, my friends, family and colleagues for helping me achieve my best year yet.
