Gangmasters Licence Approval for C&D Group Ltd
C&D Group’s are pleased to announce their application for a Gangmasters License has been approved.
C&D Group owner and founder, Karen Davison, has expressed her delight at the decision by GLA to approve her dynamic recruitment business’s application.
“We knew the application process would be challenging as the GLA’s audits of legal and operating processes is very detailed and comprehensive. We welcomed this process as it improves our industry as a whole and is an extremely credible licence to hold. Now our license is approved, we can offer a wider range of clients C&D Group’s innovative recruitment solutions.”
The licensing scheme entails auditing labour providers to the fresh produce supply chain and horticulture industry. The licensing standards cover H&S, training, pay and even transport. The scheme also assesses that labour suppliers meet tax, National Insurance and tax regulations. The benefits for end users of labour in the relevant sectors; agriculture, horticulture, shellfish gathering and associated processing and packaging, is that they can be sure their labour is being sourced through a legitimate provider. Consumers too, can be assured their food has been harvested and packed in an ethical environment.
The approval of C&D Group’s GLA Licence comes at a crucial time of the year as the market begins gearing up for the peak retail season. With the newly approved licence C&D Group are now in a position to provide large volumes of labour into the buoyant food sector.
