Haines Watts Swindon Celebrate Success of Team Member
The team at one of Swindon’s leading accountancy firms, Haines Watts Swindon, are celebrating the achievements of colleague Michael Webb who has just qualified as a Certified Chartered Accountant.
Michael, 28, has worked with the Old Town-based company since leaving Ridgeway School in Wroughton ten years ago. He joined as a trainee and has just received his qualification from the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and he’s now a tax and accounts senior.
“I really enjoy working here,” Michael said. “We are a very close-knit team and I’ve been supported from day one since coming in as a trainee a decade ago. I’ve always really enjoyed the atmosphere here as we’re a team who value each other.
“When I joined I studied to get my AAT qualification and then took a break for a couple of years before studying towards ACCA and qualifying this year. It’s been quite a journey and one I couldn’t have completed without the support of my colleagues.”
Mike Lloyd, managing partner, said: “Michael has worked hard over the last few years to achieve this qualification. He’s a valued team member, hardworking, conscientious and fun to have around. It’s hard to believe that he has been with us for a decade! We have encouraged Michael all the way and we are proud of his success and happy for him that he has achieved what he set out to accomplish.”
Outside of work, Michael is passionate about music and is a member of the Wroughton Silver Band where he plays the tuba. He’sa keen footballer with Chiseldon FC and his biggest fans are his wife Kay and three year old son Freddie.
