Jamie Martin of Correct Careers Coaching has a busy summer coming up!

It’s July which is the second summer month and one which has a real sporty feel – including the Wimbledon, British Open Golf and the Tour de France!

Today we’re talking to Jamie Martin who is managing director and founder of Correct Careers Coaching which delivers modern sales training (full sales cycle) including social media marketing/prospecting, lead generation, new business conversion, client relationship management, negotiation, as well as our own pioneering programme - sales psychology.

What are your plans for July in your business? 
I’ve got lots of plans for this month and I’ve also had quite a productive month so far. I’ll be doing a LinkedIn workshop and preparing for guest speaking events that are taking place over the next few months. I’ve also just started working with a celebrity client.

What are your personal plans for this month? 
I’ve been housing sitting for friends who are on holiday!

Does July hold any particular significance for you or your business/organisation? 
Yes, this month is my 5 year business birthday of operating my Business Correct Careers Coaching this month!

Do you like sport – and if so do any sporting tournaments or events stand out for you this month or coming up? Do you engage in any sports you’d like to mention? Are you a member of a local team at all?
I have enjoyed watching England in the Euros this month, as well as catching Wimbledon on the TV.

On a much lighter note – July 17 is World Emoji Day and this often trends on social media. What do you think of emojis? Do you use them?
I think emojis should be used where appropriate, my favourite emoji would be the thumbs up.

Can you name one business you’d like to give a summer shout out too? Who has gone the extra mile for you recently?
I’d like to give a huge business shout out to Mandy Healey of Aspiration Station. We don’t work with each other currently, but she is always supporting my business on social media and via referrals, thank you.

As a consumer have you visited a local business, bought their products or services and thought ‘I must recommend them’! What business would you recommend this summer?
I would recommend Haystack if you are ever in Merthyr or Swansea areas.

Have you got any events planned for the coming months which you’d like to mention – where you and/or your business will take a leading role?

If relevant, would you like to say anything about the General Election and how it might/might not impact on the world of business? 
It takes time for change, but I hope any changes will have a positive impact on all those in business.
