Janet Shreeve of Shreeve Care Services has a busy March happening!
It’s March! The first month of Spring and the month the clocks go forward this month so it will be lighter nights and less time asleep! It was also the Budget this month! What does the world of business look like this week?
Today we’re talking to Janet Shreeve who is director of Shreeve Care Services. They provide business development to care providers, advice to clients looking for care options and they also provide a bidding service to get on to frameworks. Janet is sharing with us what the year will bring for her company.
How is March looking for you in your business? Share your plans, events or something else?
March is looking to be a very exciting month as Shreeve Care Services is expanding to recruit people from Italy who have the appropriate visa status to work in care and in particular is working within the ex-pat community there.
Are you taking part in any wider events or business collaborations this month?
After a lot of discussion, it is looking very likely that Shreeve Care Services will be involved with a new humanitarian project in Italy over the next few months.
The Budget took place on March 6. What did you think of it?
I hoped that Social Care would get a huge boost financially as it is much needed. It’s not looking very likely that the many issues around the sector will be tackled but it would be wonderful if they are.
This month it’s International Women’s Day, St David’s Day, National No Smoking Day. Are there an awareness day or week this month which is important to you or your business?
The 21st March is the start of National Care Week when we will be focusing on where the care sector can be improved, supported and any innovations that are coming on to the market.
March is also Mother’s Day (March 10) is this an important day for your business?
Mother’s Day or Mothering Sunday as it also known, is a day when we look at the care mothers provide and also how finding the right care as our mothers age is so important.
Would you like to share your thoughts about your mother, a mother figure in your life or your life with a mother or as a mother?
My mother was an amazing woman and I miss her every single day and am eternally grateful for her support and belief in me which I hope I also pass on to my own daughters.
In the yearly cycle of your business – what do you expect during March?
March will be an extremely busy month planning and working on the next quarter which is looking very exciting.
Anything else you’d like to say?
I would like to thank all those I work with in particular Jodie Fraser and Julie Prowse who have been towers of strength. I would also like to thank Fiona, Hannah and Lis for their amazing work to promote my business.
However really my thanks go to everyone I have the pleasure of both meeting and working with.
