ALLERGY CAMPAIGNER JULIANNE PONAN MBE IS INVITED TO DOWNING STREET FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
CEO and award-winning entrepreneur of leading top 14 allergen free from brand Creative Nature, Julianne Ponan MBE, has received a prestigious invitation to celebrate International Women's Day 2024 at 10 Downing Street (March 4)
Food entrepreneur Julianne Ponan started her business more than a decade ago, driven by her personal struggles with severe and life-threatening allergies. Motivated to create safe and delicious options for individuals with dietary restrictions, Julianne founded Creative Nature, a brand dedicated to offering products free from the top 14 allergens.
Julianne’s invitation to 10 Downing Street is a testament to her remarkable achievements as a female entrepreneur and her dedication to transforming the health and food industry.
“I’m honoured to be invited to attend this Downing Street event to mark International Women’s Day. It’s still very important that we celebrate women in all of their diversity as, in business, there is still a long way to go to achieve parity even if you run your own business. For example, getting investment to scale a business is much, much harder for a woman. If I can move that dial positively just a little – my job is done!” Julianne said.
International Women's Day isn't just about one country, group, or organisation. It's a day for everyone to celebrate together, all working towards women's equality. It serves as a reminder of the importance of celebrating the achievements of women and advocating for gender equality worldwide.
Under this year's theme ‘Inspire Inclusion’, Julianne’s presence, along with many other inspiring women, at 10 Downing Street represents the progress women have made in breaking barriers and defying stereotypes in business and beyond.
Julianne has broken barriers by carving her path in the food industry with her allergy-safe business, Creative Nature and in championing the rights of those living with allergies and intolerance. She’s also outspoken on any issues which disadvantage women in business.
International Women's Day is celebrated worldwide on March 8th each year to honour the extraordinary women who fought for women's rights in the past and today. If you would like to learn about Creative Nature and Julianne, you can find out more here: https://creativenaturesuperfoods.co.uk/.
