July Business Q&A With Kate Cadman the Brand & Communications Manager at Fabb Furniture

It’s almost end of July and the school holidays have started! We’ve been speaking to businesses to find out what this month will bring for them.

Up today is Kate Cadman, the brand and communications manager at Fabb Furniture, who have 21 stores across the UK.

Tell us a little bit about yourself...

Kate Cadman, Brand & Communications Manager at Fabb Furniture. Fabb is an independent furniture retailer with 21 stores across the UK and an online web sales platform.

What are your plans for July in your business?

We are continuing to introduce new product collections to keep Fabb furniture feeling fresh and appealing. New collections include designer sofas, comfy beds, stylish dining sets, and gorgeous garden furniture.

What are your personal plans for this month?

Any hobbies, holidays, days out you’d like to share? July sees Fabb head full steam ahead into its mid-summer sale. Likewise, on a personal note, I’m steering a course bound for the coast, to breathe in the sea air and dust off my rusty sailing skills.

Does July hold any particular significance for you or your business/organisation?

July is the month we launch our fantastic summer sale which sees savings across all furniture. It’s also a time when many people are focusing on their gardens, so Fabb has just launched a luxurious and stylish new line in high quality wicker garden furniture designed to enhance any outside space.

Do you like sport – and if so do any sporting tournaments or events stand out for you this month? Do you engage in any sports you’d like to mention? Are you a member of a local team at all?

As a keen tennis player, I’ll be watching Wimbledon this month, of course.

On a much lighter note – July 17 is World Emoji Day and this often trends on social media. What do you think of emojis? Do you use them? Can you think of a new one or what’s your favourite one?

I love the heart emojis and use them quite a bit – both in personal texts and occasionally in business communications too (mainly in email headings). Favourite emoji is the cocktail glass.

Can you name one business you’d like to give a summer shout out too?

Swindon Wildcats they have been fantastic to work with, in particular, their Commercial Manager, Sally Fox-Price who’s just brilliant and always full of energy and enthusiasm.

Are you raising money for charity or volunteering this month in any way?

If so, how are you raising that money? We regularly raise money for the British Heart Foundation and Sue Ryder charities and will continue to do so throughout the year.
