March Talk with Paul Holmes
It's March, the first month of Spring, and the month when the clocks go forward. What’s going on in the world of business this month? Today we're talking to Paul Holmes who is managing director of PCH Business Consultants based in Swindon. Paul and his team of business consultants focus on growth for larger organisations and offer a full range of supporting business services. They operate across the UK.
How is March looking for you in your business?
March is already exciting and positive. Some people are looking to spend some budget before the end of the financial year, others waiting till April to really kick-start their business but already starting the conversations and ball rolling.
There were lots of new and interesting clients throughout January and certainly February and some very interesting conversations were had with some very diverse companies.
Everything from a Michelin star chef, Innovation organisations, a data management company, energy evaluation platform through to a chiropractic treatment on horses. We continue to love the variety of things we get involved with.
PCH Business Consultants is now live with yet still more associates to be announced soon.
Are you taking part in any wider events or business collaborations this month?
PCH Business Consultants continue to deliver as part of the exciting collaboration in the Veloci-Tech business accelerator launched in January and have now started to look at building a whole range of workshops.
We are also starting to deliver some particularly focused around ‘understanding what success looks like for your business’ and then designing the business to deliver it. The plan going forward is to build events around this for PCH Business Consultants’ clients and run sessions around this.
In the yearly cycle of your business – what do you expect during March?
Coming out of the end of last year there are a real mixture of businesses that are still struggling and others seeing optimism in equal measure. Economic factors and international events continue to be a worry for most though.
It's hard at the moment to get a real sense of 'is this going to be a really strong year for everybody?' which also really depends on what type of industry your business is in and where you were at the end of last year.
Whatever the industry though, business owners willing to invest time and energy in planning growth are significantly more likely to cope with the unexpected and be successful.
I get a strong sense people are feeling January is now out of the way, the world's still spinning, February has been all about "right ok what are we going to do next?" and March is when people are really going to start to implement those changes.
Have you got any special offers for March or April that you’d like to mention?
For any business owner that knows the business needs some help to move forward, the first conversation is always free.
In that first hour we walk you through everything you need to do to improve and grow your business and make a huge difference.
What happens after that and what you want to do with the plan is up to you but that’s where I and the team can help you make that happen!
