Meet Archie and Ash from Creaative Photography!
August is coming to an end. It’s been a month of holidays, summer fun and time off for many people. We’ve had the Olympics (from July 26) and now it’s time for the Paralympics (from August 28).
So how are small business owners coping with the month often known as ‘silly season’?
Up today are Archie Mead and Ashley Hatton photographers and directors at CREAATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY.
They specialise in photography, videography, aerial imagery and social media content. Archie and Ash love being creative and collaborating with others to capture their work in the best light. Whether you’re an established business, a start-up, or a fellow creative looking to capture your craft, they can work with you to deliver imagery with impact.
Whilst they’re based in Gloucestershire they travel all over for work.
How was August for your business?
We’re a new business as of this year but August has been an interesting month for us. We’ve diversified into other industries, the main one being photography and videography of festivals which have been a lot of fun.
What advice/tips would you give to small business owners trying to navigate the ‘holiday’ period?
We’re a new business ourselves so we’ll be keeping a close eye on everyone’s advice and tips as we don’t have any to share from us right now! Being in the early stages of our business means that we’re also learning how to navigate these periods throughout the year.
August 20 was World Photo Day. Does that mean something to you in your business?
How could we not celebrate World Photo Day! To mark the day we celebrated by offering a FREE content creation giveaway to those who entered via our Instagram (@creaative.photography). The winners were the brilliant team at Lafayette Events!
Did you know August 21 was World Entrepreneurs Day? What does this word mean to you, and do you apply it to yourself?
We don’t see ourselves as entrepreneurs if we’re being honest, despite the definition of an entrepreneur being ‘A person who starts a business and is willing to risk loss in order to make money’. We set up our business because we are passionate about what we do and of course we need to make a living from it but at the moment we want to build long term relationships with our clients and enjoy what we do. Its primarily a life-style choice rather than a money-making exercise.
Can you name one business you’d like to give a summer shout out too? Who has gone the extra mile for you recently?
Angela Roberts from Cotswold Networking has created many opportunities over last few months to help us on our way with our new business. She has been brilliant, and we can’t thank her enough. You can find out more about Cotswold Networking at https://cotswoldnetworking.co.uk/
