Charlott McAnsh from See No Bounds - Summer August Q&A 2021
We've been talking to various business owners about their summer and autumn plans and today we're talking to Charlott McAnsh, co-director of See No Bounds which is an online community centre with a fast-growing business directory. She runs the business with her husband Jamie.
How has August been in your business?
August has been full of excitement as we are preparing to launch a new website which will mean that our businesses will be able to interact, make testimonials and recommend each other as well as list their events, blogs, and podcasts all in one place. We are also getting married on a personal level so are outsourcing tasks and planning some amazing Live @5 Take overs.
What were your personal plans for August?
We got married! and we are preparing for our honeymoon in West Wales, I would certainly like to recommend Skomer Island and Blue Lagoon which is in Abereiddy, Wales.
The Olympics – Tokyo 2020 – have come and gone and the Paralympics are almost done. Have you seen anything which touched or inspired you?
We love watching the swimming and what fantastic results Great Britain have had. We are now excited to follow a great friend of ours in the Paralympics and we are sure that Stephanie Millward MBE will smash it. Highly recommend her book Paying the Price.
Did you know August 21 was World Entrepreneurs Day? What does this word mean to you and do you apply it to yourself?
We celebrated this with a Live @5 Special with some of our entrepreneurs in our community. We also had a show with three finalists of Great British Entrepreneur Awards which means just as much to a start up to someone in business for 20 years. We are thrilled to be shortlisted ourselves in two categories and this means so much which is why I think a World Entrepreneur Day is needed as it is a recognition of all that hard work behind the scenes.
Can you name one business you’d like to give a summer shout out too? Who has gone the extra mile for you recently?
This recognition will definitely go to (and it is a big SHOUT OUT) our wonderful web-developer Jon Haines from PobDesign. At the last meeting he took all our comments onboard and has further developed our website to an amazing platform which we can’t wait to show the public on 20th September.
As we move further through the pandemic, how are you feeling about the future of business in general?
We are really thrilled to be working with so many different businesses and yes sadly some of our clients are no longer in business, but others have thrived. Many of the start ups that are now celebrating just over a year in business have excelled and are now employing their own staff and therefore need other services in the community and that is what See No Bounds is all about – collaboration.
Have you got any events planned for the autumn you’d like to shout about – either that you are running or attending?
We have our own Events Board where our members add their events, workshops, and webinars on a regular basis. We are also organising a walk and talk up Snowdon Mountain on 15th, 16th and 17thOctober.
Have you got any services or special offers you’d like to mention?
In September we are launching a free listing service as well as all other packages with See No Bounds. There will also be more offers and of course more members benefits.
And finally, August 16 was National Tell a Joke Day? Can you tell us a joke and raise a laugh?
What is the difference between a hippo and a Zippo? One is really heavy and the other is a little lighter.
