Darren Chapman from Making U Savings - Summer Q&A 2021

Let's continue to celebrate the variety of business owners we have in our region and beyond. Today we're talking to Darren Chapman who is a Utility Warehouse authorised distributor, based in Swindon. He's been helping people and businesses save time and money on their utility bills for many years.

JUNE is the first month of Summer – what will you be doing this summer in your business?

I’m looking forward to getting out again meeting & helping people. I belong to a business referral group in Swindon and we've been meeting online - now we're just getting back to small group meetings and soon we'll be able to 'go big'! 

What are your personal plans for summer activities?

Hopefully I will be able to get out and do a bit more cycling and generally enjoying some more sunshine. 

June is National Smile Month. With that in mind, what things in your business make you smile? 

• Meeting and chatting with people
• Seeing the smile on people’s faces when they see what I can do for them.
• Engaging with like-minded business professionals in my own community. 

June is often associated in nature with growth and abundance – what are your plans for growth his year? 

I plan to spread the message as wide and far as I can, that there’s a better & simpler way to live your life, with more quality of life and you can save time and money in the process.

As we hit this mid point in 2021 and we’re still coming out of the pandemic – which one business has really supported or helped you over the last quarter?

I couldn't pick just one - there have been many. The past year during pandemic has been an interesting and challenging one for all, but one which with the continued support of a network of local business owners have come through stronger.
