Paul Holmes from Paul Holmes Business Support - Summer Q&A 2021
Today we're discussing some of those things with Paul Holmes who is managing director of PCH Business Support based in Swindon operating across the South of England.
What are your plans for your business this month?
July 20th marks five years for PCH so a moment to pause reflect and celebrate the journey so far and especially how much the brand has grown in that time.
But not time to stop for long as the business is set to grow and expand – as the business has grown so the model has to grow with it, after all PCH is a business growth specialist - so I have to take my own medicine.
I will shortly be joined by around 25 Associates and specialists in their own right, to act under the PCH brand and the name will change to PCH Business Consultants.
What are your personal plans for this month?
This month will be a week in North Devon, working with clients and working on a refreshed website and branding for relaunch soon. Summer holidays for my boys will mean an unhealthy obsession for us with Lego Star Wars!
Does July hold any particular significance for you or your business/organisation?
It's five years since PCH was launched – it's evolved and changed and now focusses predominantly on growth and overwhelm for large organisations.
July 19 has been dubbed ‘freedom day’ what things will you be looking forward to in business and life that you’ve had to put on hold?
PCH has continued to help clients directly over the last year and in person (safely) so July 19th doesn’t change the business much. Being able to freely see friends and family will be amazing and a return to live music!
Several festivals in the diary as well as concerts later in the year, music is a constant in my world, so live events will be a joy again.
Can now plan the formal launch party and get together for PCH relaunch with associates in the autumn.
July is often associated with sport in the UK. How important is sport to you in your life or business?
I'm a big fan of sport, writing this shortly after England’s fantastic run in Euro 2020 and I feel the agony of the team and the nation to not win at the final hurdle. However what a tournament it's been! This time round Wimbledon hasn’t registered much, but keeping tabs on the Tour de France has.
7On a much lighter note – July 17 is World Emoji Day and this often trends on social media. What do you think of emojis?
Not a big fan from a business perspective - but social media and messaging its normal part of my world, albeit my emoji list is fairly basic!
Can you name one business you’d like to give a summer shout out too? Who has gone the extra mile for you recently?
Shout out to my client, Danielle Cole launching her new business in July: Veloci-tech that I will be a partner in for scaling technology companies – along with another client, Ian Woodley from Stilo Design, who is smashing his five year plan in less than two!
Have you got any events planned for the coming months which you’d like to mention – where you and/or your business will take a leading role?
Planning now underway for the launch party of PCH Business Consultants event with my new associates in the early autumn – watch this space!
And finally:
Seeing great positivity in businesses wanting to get back into full swing, to grow and do amazing things. Be brave, be positive, invest in your business and your teams to make it happen. Be confident and plan carefully.
