New Team Member at Swindon Accountancy Practice
Accountant Nathan Pound has joined the team at Haines Watts Swindon as an accounts senior.
The 25-year-old who lives in West Swindon has recently started at the Old Town firm to expand his skills and experience after working with another practice in the town.
Nathan said: “It’s been great to join such a supportive and welcoming team. I’ve spent a lot of time previously looking at personal tax and now I’m looking forward to broadening my skills and experience across a whole range of financial support for successful SMEs in Swindon and elsewhere.”
A former student of New College, Swindon, where he attained A levels in maths, accounting and biology,Nathan actually went on to study optometry at university. However he realised during this degree course that this wasn’t the career for him and made a move into accountancy.
“I always enjoyed maths, figures and numbers as it’s so precise and clear. It just took me a while to work out what I wanted to do!,” Nathan said.
Mike Lloyd, managing partner of Haines Watts Swindon, said: “We can already see that Nathan is going to be a great asset to our team and through the experience he gains here together with the study support he will receive, I have no doubts that he is going to shine .”
Nathan lives in Freshbrook with his partner Kathryn and can occasionally be found on one of Wiltshire’s golf courses in his spare time.
