New Swindon Warehouse will create 2,000 Jobs

Swindon is building a new warehouse that could create up to 2,000 jobs as part of this £400m investment.

Swindon Borough Council's planning committee have allowed Panattoni and its partner, Luxembourg company LU UK VI Sarl, to create a large single unit warehouse on the Symmetry Park site.

Panattoni have stated that a big international client is part of the £400m investment as well as revealing that the company will be moving to Swindon, but the identity of the company is yet to be revealed. 

Major discussions have shown that there could be a negative impact with this new development on the roads, especially due to the scheduled refurbishments to Gable Cross, however, the Gable Cross works will be completed before the new development which will be finished by April 2021.

This is an incredibly important development that will help the local economy by providing an array of high skilled opportunities to nearly 2,000 people.
