New website throws spotlight on care as a career

Advice on choosing a career in care is now easy to access thanks to a new website supported by Bluebird Care Swindon.

The Swindon care at home provider is hoping the new website, created by Bluebird Care nationally, will encourage more people to consider going into care.

During the Coronavirus pandemic, the Bluebird Care Swindon team have been at the forefront of supporting their customers, most of them elderly people, to remain safe in their own homes.

The virus has thrown into the spotlight the crucial work that home carers provide, and Bluebird Care Swindon hopes this raised profile will encourage more people to join this rewarding profession. With unemployment set to rise over the coming months, the website will also be a useful resource for those seeking information on roles and opportunities in care.

Bluebird Care Swindon Managing Director, Ben Curtis, said: “The health and social care sector is very much in the spotlight right now, amid COVID-19, and so we hope the site will not only provide a clear pathway into a career at Bluebird Care, but also act as a key resource that provides valuable information about the significant benefits of working in the care sector.

“Our carers have been providing wonderful support to our customers throughout the pandemic and we are always looking for other like-minded, caring individuals to join our team, with full training provided.”

The careers website provides information on roles at Bluebird Care that are administrative, office based and customer facing.  The website’s launch is a follow up to Bluebird Care’s ‘It’s Time to Care’ campaign, which urged people to consider various care roles to enable more vulnerable people to remain well and independent at home.

The website can be found at https://www.bluebirdcarecareers.co.uk/.For more information about local opportunities at Bluebird Care Swindon visit https://www.bluebirdcarecareers.co.uk/locations/swindon, call 01793 239499 or email [email protected]. The company’s main website www.bluebirdcare.co.uk recently won the coveted Kentico Website of the Year award 2019 in the Home Care category.
