November Talk with Neil Moore

The end of November is already in sight and Q4 is well under way. What's been going on for you in your business or life? Today we're talking to Neil Moore of Moore Photographics based in Cadley near Marlborough. Neil specialises in commercial photography of people, products, premises and places.

What’s a recent business highlight for you? 
This month I am launching my new and improved website.  This has been slow in coming as I have been hyper critical with the images I wish to use. 

If you see black and yellow – this is still the old website.  If not I welcome any critique of the imagery I have used

 And what about a personal highlight this month?
This month I celebrate another year of life (it's my birthday) which, for me is a good time to reflect on what I have achieved so far, and then to add to the list of goals I wish to accomplish.

Are there any 'special' days this month for you - or your business? 
I always remember Armistice day and it's not just about the ending of WW1, it was also the day my grandmother died in 2005. As an aside, in 2018 I was especially privileged to have been the official photographer for the Centenary beacon fire on top of the hill above Stanton St. Bernard in the Vale of Pewsey. 

 November represents Movember – Men’s Health Awareness Month. Did you know about that? 
I wasn’t aware that Movember is about Men’s Health Awareness Month.  For me all months are important to do whatever you can to stay healthy.

Are you doing anything in November for charity or for a community or volunteer project? 
I donate platelets and plasma every three weeks and have been doing this for a number of years now.  A few days afterwards I receive a text saying which hospital the platelets have been supplied to. Plasma lasts longer in storage so I don’t often hear where that goes to.

Are there any awareness days or special weeks in November which are relevant to your business
The British Institute of Professional Photography hold their AGM in November which I always keen to attend. This is their 120th anniversary so it should be fun.

Have you got any services or special offers you’d like to mention?
