Paul Day of Filestream Systems has some exciting plans this June!

It’s June already and we’re half way through the year – it’s also officially the first month of Summer, even if the weather has been a bit mixed!

Today it’s the turn of Paul Day who is a Managing Director at Filestream Systems Ltd based in Wokingham. Filestream Systems Ltd is a secure document management software that enables you to access your documents securely from anywhere in the world and supports you in avoiding GDPR breaches.

JUNE is the first month of Summer. What will you be doing this summer in your business?
On June 12th, I’ll be running the stand at the Thames Valley Expo run by the Great British Expos. This year it’s at the Royal Windsor Racecourse and it’s going to be great fun catching up with colleagues that I haven’t seen since the last expo and meeting new people and learning all about them and their businesses!

What are your personal plans for Summer activities if you feel happy to share? 
On July 14th I’m abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth and then in August I’ll be going on holiday to the Netherlands!

Does June hold any particular significance for you or your business?
This month is exciting for me because it’s my first month as Managing Director of Filestream. We have lots of exciting things coming up and I’m looking forward to sharing them with you all in the near future!

As we hit this midpoint of 2024, which one business has really supported or helped you over the last quarter? 
I’d like to say a huge thank you to Fiona Scott of Scott Media, Hannah Edwards of Empowered VA Services, Rob Curtis of The Pursuit Agency and Danielle and Kyle Holmes and the team at Black Nova Designs for their support.

June 1 to 7 this year is Volunteers Week, do you volunteer at all and if so, where and why?
I do lots of volunteering because I find it a rewarding way to give back to and support my community. I am a parish councillor, a member of the Thames Valley Police Independent Advisory Group and the role that is the most rewarding of all is the NHS Volunteer Responder work I do where I support people with collecting medication and transport to appointments and supporting people all over the country.

June 30 is Social Media Day – what does social media mean to you and your business? What are your favourite social media platforms?
Professionally I used LinkedIn for myself and for the Filestream Systems company page. Personally I use Facebook to keep up with family and friends.

I find social media to be a great business tool to be able to keep up with business colleagues all over the world and find out what they’re up to as well as sharing our news as a company.
