LEADING ESTATE AGENT, PERRY BISHOP, SUPPORTS TWO CHARITY FUNDRAISING EVENTS

Estate agents, Perry Bishop, will be holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday September 24 with a stall outside their offices at 16 Market Place, Faringdon SN7 7HP. Home-made cakes, made by members of staff and their friends and families, will be available to buy for a voluntary donation.

The Faringdon-based estate agents have taken part in Macmillan’s Biggest Coffee Morning event for the past five years and all the money raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support. This is a charity particularly close to the hearts of two members of Perry Bishop’s staff. Sue Crook, who has worked at the Faringdon office of Perry Bishop for seven years, lost her husband, Ken, to cancer and Sarah Benson, who has been with the local estate agents for over 30 years, is currently off work as her husband, Roddy, is on palliative care with cancer.

Sue said: “Macmillan’s is an incredibly important charity that does so much for people with cancer or living with cancer. We would love to welcome lots of people to our stall outside our office on September 24. But, if they can’t attend, maybe they might like to send a donation for Macmillan to us in the office.”

Next day, Saturday September 25, Perry Bishop Estate Agents will be flying their banner alongside their gazebo at the Faringdon Rugby Family Fun Day. As part of their commitment to supporting the local community, Perry Bishop staff will be having a gazebo at the free event organised by Faringdon Rugby Club and will be offering free Frisbees and bubble-blowing kits for children.

Entry to the whole event is free and is being held at Folly Park, Stanford Road, Faringdon SN7 7AQ from 12.30pm. The day of family fun features a barbecue and a bar plus free activities and games for children such as face painting and bouncy castle. The adult activities include a bungee run game and entertainment featuring a Silverbacks Match, the Oxford AllStar Heroes Cheerleaders and the Swindon Lightning Cheerleaders doing pre-match and half-time shows, plus a rodeo bull and sumo suits!
