Probate professional is passionate about preventing families being ripped off
Covid-19 is still very much the top story in the media during these unprecedented times of pandemic and lockdown. Over 112,000 people have now lost their lives to Covid-19 and many bereaved families have been left concerned about how to deal with the estate of their loved ones. Who can advise them? What is the estate worth?
Gordon Brockman, who is an experienced probate professional, has just launched his new website and business, True Values, to assist grieving relatives make these challenging and confusing decisions.
With nearly 20 years’ experience as an auctioneer and valuer, Gordon, who lives in Melksham, said: “I get so upset when I hear about bereaved families that have had their loved one’s valuables under-valued. My advice to them is: don’t touch anything and don’t throw anything out!”
At one auction following a house-clearance, Gordon was the auctioneer when a rare 15th Century Roman Catholic Missal went under the hammer for £15,000. The proceeds from this rare lot went straight into the pockets of the house clearance firm and not to the family where it belonged.
Gordon is passionate about preventing families being ‘ripped off’ and can offer an expert probate and valuation service to families wanting a true value for the contents of their loved one’s house and possessions.
Having featured on the BBC’s programmes Antiques Road Trip and Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, Gordon has also worked auction houses across the South West. He specialises in jewellery, silver and gold and also has a keen eye for furniture, glassware, ceramics, metalware, coins and collectables.
To coincide with the launch of his new website, Gordon is offering a free initial consultation given in a sympathetic and respectful way, so please contact him on 07709 918096, [email protected] or find out more from the new website: www.truevalues.co.uk.
