WELL KNOWN SALES & MARKETING DIRECTOR WINS NATIONAL TITLE OF NETWORKER OF THE YEAR

Rachael Matwiejczyk Booth who is originally from Liverpool, but now living in Swindon has won the title of Networker of the Year at the National Business & Community Awards.

A well known face in the South West business community, Rachael won the national award at a gala event held in Reading (April 21). She is the sales and marketing director of Total Guide to – a digital marketing and news hub which started in Swindon and now has platforms in Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Reading, Manchester and Dorset.

“I’m overwhelmed to receive such an honour,” Rachael said. “The event was held on my birthday and I attended with my husband, my daughter and my mum so it was extra special for us all. I’m humbled to have been chosen from an amazing group of nominees.

“My view in business has always been that it’s important to be helpful, to support and to collaborate so that we all thrive. These last few years has taught us that as never before and I will continue to be a positive part of our various business communities.”

Any business or relevant individual could nominate themselves for these awards in regional finals or they could be nominated by members of their team, or their clients. Those nominations were then judged by an independent panel of business owners and regional winners were put forward to a national event. For this national final, the judges spent more than 500 hours debating who should be chosen as finalists and winners.

They said of Rachael:

“With over 20 years’ experience of connecting businesses and individuals, Rachael is highly regarded for the quality of her connections and her generosity in giving them. There were a large number of excellent nominations for Rachael made by her colleagues and business friends and it is easy to see why she deserved to win.”

The Great British Expos is one of the most well-known organisations who stage popular regional business shows for SMEs across the UK. The organisers are based in the Midlands and the team support a company called Cherishers which provide cleaning and ironing contracts to people who struggle to find employment. Profits go into providing free support services within the community to those who are lonely or vulnerable.
