2019 was an eventful year that saw a number of big changes to the business with a move to new offices on Bath Road in Old Town, a refresh on the brand to be cleaner, bolder and more memorable.
Managing Director Danny Kimber comments “things never sit still in our sector and at times I have felt that we should showcase our services and shout about our achievements more often, we have built fantastic working relationships with a number of high profile clients in and around the Swindon area and I felt that this needed to he heard by more people. Our move to new offices in Old Town has been a positive step forward and we have seen an increase in footfall into the business with people seeking working. With more space available we are able to offer a more consultative service in our meeting room when speaking to candidates and are able to hold dedicated induction sessions for our clients with visual aids to gain a better understanding of site health and safety procedures at our client’s sites.
During 2019 we re-employed 2 key members to the team, while some people say you should never go back, we felt that the team members were the right person but at the wrong time previously.
Steve Legg returned to the business as Permanent Placement Manager and Charlie Bodle was welcomed back to the team as an Industrial Account Manager. Bringing Steve and Charlie back was crucial to our bigger plans, Charlies energy across the temporary sector was missed and the more calm and experienced approach bought by Steve has complimented the team.
The Responsive Personnel team were awarded a number of sole supply contracts in 2019 which assisted and made the plans for 2020 a little clearer and ensured we could focus on what we believed would add value to our services both short and long term. In a competitive market and offering Staffing Solution in the Industrial, Commercial and Hospitality Sectors we felt that the time was right to look at recruiting for a Sales Manager to work across these sectors.
As a business we were aware of the calibre of addition we wanted, and it was crucial for us to source someone who shared our passion, drive and determination for the recruitment sector. March 2020 saw us add, highly experienced and well-respected Dave Bullock to our team. Dave has previously worked for a number of independently owned recruitment businesses and this is what initially engaged our interest in Dave when we were made aware of him becoming available.
Sales and Development Manager - Dave Bullock added “It was refreshing to speak to Danny and hear the plans he has for the business based on our shared tried and tested values. Initially in the current situation the plan is to stabilise the existing business while continuing to identify and strategically develop new sectors and opportunities both locally and further afield to build the Responsive Personnel brand.
In order to reach the company goals I’ll rely on my experience of working with a diverse range of clients across the South West in Logistics, Manufacturing and Transport managing complex, high volume accounts where increasing productivity and raising KPI’s was paramount while at the same time recognising the need to maintain all quality standards and deliver a cost effective service.
Responsive Personnel is a great business, innovative and agile with a passionate team dedicated to ensuring both clients and candidates experience the best consultative service possible”
Danny finishes by saying - During these challenging times we are determined to bravely continue with our growth strategy while also assisting key worker clients across the Swindon area, investing in training for staff members and focused on marketing plans to ensure we are well placed to welcome back our clients from lockdown and be best placed to support any new businesses that would benefit from our unique approach to recruitment
