SHREEVE CARE SERVICES SHORTLISTED FOR TWO BUSINESS AWARDS
Somerset-based business owner, Janet Shreeve, has been shortlisted for two business awards in recognition of the important work she is doing with her company Shreeve Care Services.
Janet, who set up Shreeve Care Services just over a year ago, has more than 20 years’ experience in the care sector and is a specialist in live-in care. Her business supports care companies in a consultancy capacity around best practice and business growth, as well as families attempting to navigate the care system on behalf of loved ones. She says she was delighted to discover that she and her business had been shortlisted in two categories and excited about the next stage.
She has been shortlisted in the categories of Female Entrepreneur of the Year and New Start Up of the Year.
“I’m really thrilled to be shortlisted in the South West Business & Community Awards,” said Janet. “I started my business just over a year ago because I could see that families and the care sector needed support in experiencing excellence in care and I knew I was in a good position to provide that. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and I’m loving every minute of it. I’m meeting wonderful people all the time while doing something I love. To be shortlisted for these two awards at this point really is the icing on the cake. I couldn’t have had a better start to 2024!”
The South-West Business Awards celebrate the achievements of businesses, charities and inspirational individuals across the region. Categories include Business of the Year, Networker of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Shreeve Care Services has gone from strength to strength since Janet established the business just over a year ago. In 2023, she brought on fellow entrepreneur Jodie Fraser, of Fraser Allen Estate Management, as a director in the business to further highlight the importance of high-quality care provision for people living in their own homes in the final chapters of their lives.
Janet had previously supported Jodie when she experienced a care crisis with her grandmother, who was living with dementia, and helped her navigate the care system so the family could access the care that Jodie’s grandmother needed.
Jodie has also appeared as a guest on Janet’s podcast, “You Care, I Care,” which launched at the end of 2023 as another way to support families and the care sector itself. Janet says she is now really looking forward to the year ahead.
“The last year has been incredible,” Janet says. “My business is helping more and more people all the time, the podcast is helping to raise awareness of some common issues in care, and now I’ve been shortlisted for these awards. I’m really excited about what this year is going to bring.”
The South-West Business Awards ceremony takes place on Thursday February 1 at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Swindon. For more information about Janet visit https://shreevecareservices.co.uk
