Swindon and District Samaritans Need You!

Swindon and District Samaritans are hosting their first EVER Ball this October and need help from local businesses to make the Great Gatsby themed event a success.

Samaritans aim to be available 24 hours a day to provide emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of emotional distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide. They listen, providing their service by phone, e-mail, SMS and face to face. Samaritans also reach out to vulnerable, high risk individuals in the local community by working at local schools, Great Western Hospital, HMP Erlestoke and out on the street.

Swindon & District Samaritans' first ever charity ball is coming up in October and it is fundraisers like these that enable the charity to keep its centre open. They rely heavily on sponsorship and the donation of auction items from friends and supporters to make such events a fundraising success.

There is already a lot of interest in the event and looks like it will be well attended and supported by people throughout the area. If you are able to support the event through sponsorship or a donation of auction items, it will be hugely appreciated.  The organisations involved will be promoted through Samaritans' online presence (Website, twitter, etc.) as well as in the lead-up to the auction at the Ball!
