Swindon recruitment agency celebrates 35 years of success

A Swindon-based recruitment agency is celebrating an incredible milestone—35 years of helping local people find jobs, and the founder, Catherine Stubbs, couldn’t be more proud.

Beavers Recruitment first opened its doors in Old Town back in 1990.

Catherine, now 65, launched the business after noticing a gap in the market for a more personal and inclusive approach to recruitment. 

Since then, she’s not only been dedicated to connecting job seekers with opportunities but also to giving back to her community in meaningful ways. 

Whether it’s working with Swindon Borough Council on their Shared Lives Scheme or recently donating a defibrillator, Catherine has made it clear that her business is about more than just filling vacancies—it’s about building relationships and making a lasting impact.

During the 35th-anniversary celebration on September 3, the Beavers Recruitment team met with the Owen’s World Foundation to plan another initiative: raising funds to install five life-saving bleed kits around Swindon.
