How can hiring an Apprentice benefit your business?
Apprenticeships help your business grow by:
- Reducing training and recruitment costs
- Developing a skilled, qualified and motivated workforce
- Increasing productivity through better trained staff
- Improving customer service results
- Providing financial return on investment
How can Swindon College help you?
Swindon College will work with you to:
- Identify suitable employees
- Identify existing employees who may benefit from training
- Plan and design training programmes to meet your needs and those of the individual
- Provide off-the-job training to support the learning which is taking place in the workplace
- Monitor Apprentice progress and provide help and support where necessary
- Assess Apprentice competence in the workplace
- Work with the national awarding bodies, such as City and Guilds, to award nationally-recognised qualifications (NVQs) to Apprentices
- Provide ongoing support and training to you and your staff in all of these areas
How much will hiring an Apprentice cost?
The National Apprenticeship Service funds:
- 100% of the cost of Apprenticeship training for Apprentices aged 16-18
- Up to 50% of the cost of training for Apprentices aged 19-24
- A contribution of the cost of training if the Apprentice is aged 25+
- Funding is paid directly to Business First (Swindon College) who support the Apprenticeship
