Wednesday 8th March is International Women’s Day - and the theme this year is #embracequity. Tracey Heath answers some interesting IWD questions...

Where is this business/company/organisation based?

Swindon and Cheltenham.

If you have a team – do you have a gender mix? Are there challenges in achieving this?

We have a good mix of gender and age groups which seems to have happened naturally.

What does #embracequity mean to you?

Equal opportunities for all.

Or do you feel strongly about any of the above themes? 

Not particularly. I don’t believe that inequality exists everywhere and therefore a lot of the bad press has had an adverse effect on innocent parties.

Which women have inspired you over the last year generally?

Queen Elizabeth II

Which local women have inspired you in the last year?

Friends Tammy and Cath. Tammy for her unfaltering support and love, looking after everyone around her without a thought for her own wellbeing. Cath for putting up the most incredible fight with cancer and managing to mostly stay positive when everything was seemingly against her. 

Why do you think it's important to have an International Women's Day? 

It’s good to get away from the day job and circulate with others to get a better understanding of what issues they are facing in their work and personal lives.
