Today's business owner sharing what he loves about his business in February - the month of love is Jamie Martin (Managing Director and Founder) of Correct Careers Coaching offering modern sales training and sales strategy.

What do you love about running your own business? 

1. Collaborating with other businesses

2. Challenging myself to utilise my capabilities and upskill in new areas

3. Being creative in developing a brand 

What do you love about your business community? 

That we support local initiatives and businesses. We collaborate, refer, and support one another.

What do you love socially/geographically about your community? 

Walking the dogs in Stanton Country Park. Eating at some of my favourite restaurants, i.e., Fratello’s, Biplob, Rays Ice Cream etc and seeing my friends face to face!

February 17 is Random Acts of Kindness Day – have you carried out any random acts of kindness (business or otherwise) over the last few months? 

I have donated to my friends/business network on Facebook that supported various charitable causes. 

Has anyone shown kindness to you? 

Yes, some business individuals had referred me to other businesses to connect with. As well as clients I am working with had provided me with Google Reviews/testimonials.

In the yearly cycle of your business – what do you expect during February? 

In February, I would expect businesses to maintain rapport and build relationships with their existing clients and new business relationships ready to work with these businesses towards the end of the tax year. 

What would your advice be to a business owner who is feeling ‘flat’ in February? 

Review the past few months and identify what has worked well for your business, i.e., a networking event you attended, a new course you undertook, a new project completed and replicate that activity again in February. Continue to do what ‘good’ looks like!
