Best Ever A Level Results at Lydiard Park Academy
It's celebrations all round at Lydiard Park Academy today! Take a look at the talented students' impressive A Level Results statistics for this year...
Statement from Lydiard Park Academy:
We are very proud of the students who achieved the academy’s highest A Level results, with 43% of all entries at A* to B and a 98% pass rate overall. The academy’s results exceeded the government’s headline target for attainment, with 12% more A*-B grades than government expectations.
We are delighted by the achievement of our students which is fully deserved on the back of their hard work and the commitment of our staff. This is the academy’s fourth year of full A Level results and we are extremely proud that they continue to improve year on year.
We are proud to report that all students who applied to University have been successful. For the fourth year running we anticipate that the proportion of students going to University from our sixth form is more than double the overall figure nationally and for Swindon.
We are thrilled to confirm that Joshua Mitchell has gained a place to study Chemistry at the University of Oxford making him our first student to achieve this accolade. Furthermore, many of our university applicants will be progressing on to Russell Group Universities highlighting the academic success of our students. Special praise should also go to Dylan Clark-Webb in Year 10 who gained an A* in A Level Maths.

It has been wonderful to see the students pick up their results this morning, excited to be moving on to their first choice of university or apprenticeship. I look forward to welcoming them back during the year to inform and inspire our current students about university life."
