Fundraising Golf Day is Well Above Par
Swindon-based Banks BHG raise over £900 to fund Wiltshire’s first children’s hospice following their Golf Day fundraiser.
The chartered accountants, based in Stratton, is no stranger to raising money for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice having raised over £3,500 already this year. Having already hosted quizzes, race nights and a bake-off, Wrag Barn Golf Club was the venue for their latest charity event.
Paul Gosling, Head of Tax at Banks BHG, said “Once again, we had great weather for our golf day and a really great turnout from clients, staff and associates.” He added “We’re very grateful to everybody who came along to enjoy the day and to support such a good cause.”
The Team Winners were Bernard Harrington, Rob Littler, David Warpole and Neil Durham, Nearest the Pin Winners were Barry James and Andy Ratcliffe, Longest Drive Winners were Andy Barnett and Alex Wilkie, and the Singles Winner was Richard Davies.
Ged Montgomery, a representative from Julia’s House, commented "We are so grateful to Banks BHG for the incredible amount of funds raised for Julia's House Children's Hospice as part of their recent Golf Day. It was a fantastic event which was very well organised and all the guests had a brilliant time. The partnership with Banks BHG has been a tremendous success this year and the Golf Day was just one of many events that have been held for Julia’s House. From cake bakes, quiz nights, walks - the support has been fantastic and very much appreciated.”
Banks BHG supports a local charity every year and over the last five years has raise in excess of £12,000 for worthwhile causes.
