New College Adult Open Evening 2016
New College Swindon opens its doors to adult learners looking to brush up on their skills, achieve a new qualification or develop a new hobby.
Tutors will be on hand from 1700 to 1900 on Thursday 7th July to offer information on the range of part-time courses available this autumn including GCSEs, A Levels, Higher Education and Vocational qualifications together with a full range of leisure courses.
Financial Assistance will be available for 19+ learners who wish to apply for the new Advanced Learning Loan on qualifications at level 3, 4, 5 or 6. You will be pay nothing back until you have finished your course and are earning over £21,000 per year.
New part-time courses include Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Handcrafted Fabric Flowers, Journalism and Making Your Own Bow Tie, among many.
Last year Tracy signed up for a 10 week, evening part-time course in Novelty Cake Decorating for Beginners, “The camaraderie was brilliant and it wasn’t long before we were all putting our skills in to practice. Thanks to the techniques I learnt on this course I was able to decorate my daughter’s wedding cake.”
For those looking to take their studies further, information on New College’s university-level courses will also be available. Higher National Diplomas cover a range of subjects including Art & Design, Creative Media, Computing, Early Years, Performing Arts, Public Services and Sport. In addition, Foundation Degrees in Early Years and Health & Social Care, provide a great opportunity for career progression as well as Access courses which offer qualifications to enter Higher Education.
