Swindon to Get It's Very Own Monopoly Board

Gaming manufacturers Winning Moves have been granted the licence from Hasbro to produce a Swindon version of the iconic board game.

Local residents have been given until April 12th to nominate which local landmarks they think should be featured on the special edition Monopoly board.

Twenty-two of Swindon's most popular landmarks including 'The Magic Roundabout' and 'Lydiard Park' are set to swap places with some of London's most famous locations.

The four London train stations that currently feature on the board will also be Swindonised. 

Due the town's historic links with the railway industry it's likely that the travel theme will heavily focus on trains.

In addition, locally-themed Community Chest and Chance cards will also be created.

The Swindon version of the game is due to be released in October just in time for Christmas.
