Swindon Retailer and Threshold Housing Link lead on successful national campaign to help the Homeless
Threshold Housing Link took special delivery of more than 40 winter coats in four full boxes stacked high from Donna Emms Area Supervisor of TOG24 a 'Business Against Homelessness' supporter at Swindon Designer Outlet Centre.
The Swindon TOG24 store and Threshold Housing Link led on a national ‘Swap-A-Coat’ campaign that rolled out across more than twenty of the UK quality winter clothing retailers stores. Donna said "We are immensely proud to work in partnership on this initiative. The national campaign has been a massive success which has resulted in well over 1000 coats being brought in and 'swapped' in store for a discount on a new coat. It's wonderful that Swindon's longest established homeless charity is one of the recipients".
Michael Keenan, the charity’s Chief Development Officer said "no sooner had we taken delivery of these coats, they were immediately being distributed to those in need and those sleeping rough on the streets of our town. These warm winter coats are providing some greater protection against the frosty and freezing conditions we've seen this week. It's truly great to have the support of such a community champion as TOG24".
