Let's Talk
Team TGtS are running the Swindon Half Marathon for Tami's Wish!
Total Swindon and Matt Gleed Personal Training have rounded up the troops and will be running the Swindon Half Marathon to raise money for Tami's Wish 'Yes to Life'.
Local girl Tami Brown sadly lost her battle with cancer at the age of 28 earlier this year. Since her death numerous charity challenges have been completed across the town to raise money in her memory. By sharing her story last year when she created Tami's Wish, she has since influenced thousands to raise money for her cause.
Yes to Life is a superb charity that supported Tami and so many others during their battles with cancer. They are a charity that allows cancer patients to choose and fund any kind of treatment that they wish to help them in their fight.
With the help of Yes to Life, Tami ultimately extended her life by an extra two years above doctor’s predictions. And by embarking on alternative cancer treatments not only did it help Tami to maintain an extraordinary outlook on life but kept herself and her family positive.
Heading up the team is Tami's boyfriend Kris Talikowski and her Father. They’ll be joined by Team TGts; Liz Ledger, Kirsty Heber-Smith, Matt Gleed, Sam Hunt, Paul O'Connell, Pete Dewhirst and Chris Miller.
All are well into their vigorous training regime and there’s already some sore and tired muscles but if it helps Yes to Life than all the pain will be worth it.
TGtS Director and good friend of Kris Talikowski can’t wait for the challenge “I’ve ran the Swindon Half with Kirsty and Kris before and crossing the line together is such an unbelievable feeling but I don’t think anything will beat us crossing the line this year knowing that we’ve helped to raise awareness and money for the fantastic charity that is ‘Yes to Life’.
You won't have any problems spotting TGtS on the day as they'll all be donning branded tops, so give them a wave and make a donation online to make running up those Swindon hills as bearable as possible.
