Walk a Mile for Unpaid Carers in Swindon

Carers Centre is delighted to be holding its annual Walk a Mile in a Carer’s Shoes event, to promote national Carers Week.

Carers, friends, families and supporters from across Swindon will be walking for a mile through Swindon town Centre on Saturday 11 June at 11am.

Registrations start at 10.30am, at Artsite Number 9 in Theatre Square, and the walk will begin at 11am. The route will take us through town finishing back at Artsite. There will be refreshments, an art activity and exhibition to enjoy at Artsite and a raffle on return from the walk.

Susanna Jones is Swindon Carers Centre’s Interim Chief Executive: “We are delighted to be joined again for our 3rd annual Walk A Mile by both Swindon MPs, Robert Buckland and Justin Tomlinson.

The walk is a really visual way for us to highlight the amazing work unpaid carers do, to recognise and value their dedication and to help build a carer-friendly community in Swindon”.
