Check out how the new changes will affect your Wetherspoons experience below…
Payments
Orders will now be taken at your table or by ordering through the Wetherspoons app meaning you can no longer queue at the bar.
If you cannot use the app then contactless payments up to £45 can be used and are the preferred method, although you can still pay by cash if needs be.
Both Apple and Google Pay limits have also been increased to £100.
Customers can no longer order at the bar and table-only service is in place at all UK Wetherspoon venues.
Food and Drink Times
The newly implemented rules will see the following changes come into force at all Wetherspoons pubs across the UK:
Last food order time will be 9pm
Last drinks order will be 9.30pm
The pub will close at 10pm and all customers must be ejected from the venue at this time.
Face Covering Rules
Customers must wear a face covering at any time they are away from their table and moving around the pub, even if you are visiting the toilets.
You can remove your face covering when sat at your table but this is the only time you are allowed to do so in order to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus.
Staff will now be required to wear face coverings at all times and extra PPE including protecting eyewear, visors, and gloves will also be available to them.
Children under-11 will not need to wear face coverings and those with medical conditions exempting them from the face-covering rule won’t be made to wear one.
Group Sizes
The Governments rule of six will be enforced at every Wetherspoons pub, regardless of whether guests are dining inside or outside.
Customers must stay seated at all times apart from when going to the toilet and furniture must not be moved due to social distancing rules.
