Swindon Italian restaurant La Carbonara reopening with new owner

An Italian restaurant in Swindon is now re-opening to the public after it announced that it would be closed for the foreseeable future.

The owner taking on the Italian restaurant is also the owner of Fabio’s and Grano Lab.

La Carbonara unexpectedly closed before Christmas 2022 due to ill health and personal reasons. 

The restaurant was then put up for sale, but a U-turn was announced in July 2023, with Lino and Sue confirming they were actually going to reopen the venue as Carbonara Trattoria & Bar. 

But, last September co-owner Sue Matthews died just weeks after the restaurant had undergone a refit and reopened. 

The reopened venue will be open:

• Tuesday evening 5.30pm until 10pm
• Wednesday to Saturday lunchtime 12 - 3pm and evening 5.30 - 10pm 
• Sunday lunch time 12pm till 2.30pm
