Meet and feed the farm animals, enjoy tractor rides, and explore their outdoor adventure play areas throughout the winter. Lambing season also takes place throughout January so you may even be able to witness some beautiful moments on your visit to Roves this winter.

Swindon is famous for its railway history, so what better way to re-live the story of the Great Western Railway than by enjoying an afternoon at the STEAM Museum of The Great Western Railway in Swindon. Travel through time and immerse yourself in the story of the men and women who built, operated, and travelled on the Great Western Railway. 
 
Step inside the famous locomotives, marvel at the iconic workmanship and even drive the train simulator. This is a brilliant day out for all the family and a must-visit for all of Swindon’s residents.

Head to the zoo

Everyone loves a visit to the zoo! So this January why not take the family on a Covid-secure day out to Cotswold Wildlife Park. Open every day throughout the year besides Christmas Day, Cotswold Wildlife Park have a fantastic array of exotic animals to marvel at including lions, white rhinos and everyone's favourite - meerkats! Located in Burford, this exciting zoo is just a short drive from Swindon and open till 4.30pm until March.
