Armed Forces Day at Lydiard Park

Armed Forces Day will be celebrated at Lydiard Park this summer to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

Swindon Borough Council is hosting this year’s event, with the support of local Armed Forces organisations. It is a chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving personnel to Service families, veterans and cadets.

It also marks the culmination of a week of celebrations, beginning on Monday 23rd June, when the public show their support and appreciation for the Armed Forces community.

The free event will feature stalls, a funfair, dance troupe performances and a mini concert.
