This year, the trail promises to be a grand spectacle, enchanting visitors of all ages with a mesmerizing display of outdoor lighting artistry and interactive illuminations.
Running from Friday, December 1st to Sunday, December 24th, this outdoor extravaganza is brought to life by the creative minds at light art pioneers, Luminism. The Enchanted Gardens Light Trail will feature state-of-the-art effects, remarkable light art sculptures, and displays that are sure to captivate the hearts of Swindon residents.
In an exciting new collaboration, South Swindon Parish Council is partnering with the Friends of Old Town to introduce an improved food and beverage area surrounding the historic bandstand. There will be a fully licensed bar provided by Old Town favourite, The Tuppenny, along with other popular local vendors.
Continuing its work from last year, the Enchanted Gardens Light Trail will offer an accessible ‘quiet evening’ on Monday 11th December, These evenings are for those with additional needs, who will benefit from a quieter experience, with reduced crowds. The volume in any areas featuring music and sound effects will be lowered, and any flashing lighting effects will be switched off or reduced in intensity.
The trail will once again feature 'The Lantern Walk,' a community engagement project in collaboration with local schools. This installation, which was a hit at last year's event, will play an even more prominent role in this year's Enchanted Gardens Light Trail.
There will be a limited number of tickets available for the Enchanted Gardens Light Trail, with allocated time slots every 15 minutes, starting from 5pm. Tickets will be available online on the Town Gardens website.
