5 Fun Ways To Keep The Kids Busy Over The School Holidays

The school holidays have finally arrived! And whilst that brings six weeks of excitement, adventure, and relaxation for the kids, it also brings parents the dilemma of keeping the children busy and entertained over the holiday period.

Fortunately, we've put together our top activities to keep the kids busy in Swindon this summer allowing the little ones to have endless amounts of fun, and the parents a chance to relax. Find out more below.

1.) Footgolf & Driving Range at Basset Down

If you’re looking to keep the kids outdoors this summer whilst also keeping them active and entertained, then a round of footgolf at Basset Down is the ideal activity to take part in over the school holidays.

Footgolf is a fun cross between two great sports; football and golf. The aim of the game is to kick a football into a large hole in the least amount of kicks possible and has a similar way of scoring to golf and crazy golf. With the option of playing 9-hole crazy footgolf  (themed on local Wiltshire landmarks) or a separate 18 hole course, footgolf at Basset Down will keep families of all ages entertained.

If you’re feeling adventurous then why not hit some balls on their driving range too? The complex’s 20 bay covered driving range is open throughout the day, and also offers free club hire. Open to all ages and abilities, the range is a great way to give golf a go for the first time, or to work on your swing if you’ve played before. The complex has a great value combined offer available over the summer holidays for footgolf & the driving range, which you can find out more about here.
