Get Your Skates On!
Ice skating is a really cool experience whatever your age or ability. Public skating sessions at The Link Centre are suitable for all ages, young or old. Plus, for the little ones just setting out, there's fun skate equipment to help support them on the ice!
Swindon's Link Centre houses an international sized (26m x 56m) ice rink and an provides extensive programme including public skating, ice hockey, figure skating, ice dance and pairs skating as well as Learn to Skate courses and private lessons.
Tips for Enjoying Ice Skating at The Link Centre:
Clothing - Dress comfortably but avoid hats, scarfs, big coats or baggy clothing.
Gloves - Wear gloves to keep your hands warm and give them added protection.
Skates - Lace skates up tightly and make sure they are a good fit, especially around the ankles. Hire skates (additional charge) are available from infant size 5 through to senior size 13.
Ice Stewards - Provided on busy sessions for your safety and enjoyment so ensure you follow their guidance and abide by the rules.
Lockers - Provided for a small charge.
First Aid - For the safety of skaters the rink is staffed by qualified first-aiders who renew their qualification every three years.
