Snapped: Swindon Town Centre Christmas Lights Switch-on 2017

One of Swindon's biggest and most popular events, the annual Swindon Town Centre Christmas Lights Switch-on is the highlight of the local festive calendar. Check out our snaps of the event below!

There was loads of fun and free entertainment for families to enjoy throughout the town centre from midday.

The main event kicked off at Wharf Green at 5pm with Fairytale Disney songs from Saara Aalto, who came second in 2016’s X Factor and is the voice of Anna in the Finnish dub of Frozen.

The evening event was be hosted by Ben and Mel from Heart’s Breakfast Show. The official Switch On moment took place at 6pm, illuminating the Town Centre, which was followed by a dramatic Firework Display!

The big day was organised once again by inSwindon BID Company.
