TGt Meets...Gerard Logan from Night Terrors
Meet our latest TGt Meets...Gerard Logan from Night Terrors. We got talking all about his performance that's coming to Wyvern Theatre on 8th October!
Describe your show in 1 sentence?
An evening of three brilliant and, to say the least of it, very, very unsettling ghost stories written by E F Benson.
What inspired you to fulfil a career in entertainment?
Watching Peter O’Toole’s performance in “Lawrence of Arabia” and Derek Jacobi’s in “I, Claudius”. Truly magnificent, both of them.
What can people expect to see from your show at The Wyvern Theatre on Friday 8th October?
Three ghost stories written by E F Benson. All stories are set in early 20th Century England and are perfect for a gripping Autumnal night.
Have you ever seen a ghost? If so, what’s your ghost story?
Not seen a ghost but I have, I truly believe, heard one. It was when I was at boarding school. I was lying in bed one night unable to sleep. At around 3am I heard this sound of scratching beside my ear and then the most almighty clanging of objects all around the room. The thought came too my mind that it sounded like a gallows. I later found out, no word of a lie, that, when the school had been a house in the late 19th Century, a butler had hanged himself in that very room. That is a TRUE story.
What 3 words would you use to describe the E.F. Benson’s ghost stories collection, Night Terrors?
Unsettling. Scary. Memorable.
