Phoenix Stewart, community engagement officer said, “Nationwide Building Society have been a huge supporter for us over the years, and we’re extremely excited to have them back on board to support our alternative event for 2022.”
He continued, “We have lots of exciting plans ready for this summer and it’s partnerships like this that allow us to create these events that are really important for the whole community.” .
The charity recently announced the return of the vibrant Pride march, and now an official After Party has been added to the day of events hosted by Boom Battle Bar.
The march will begin outside H&M in The Parade at 11:30am on Saturday, August 13 before heading through the town centre, past the town hall, and arriving at Queens Park for a picnic with live entertainment, a pop-up shop, youth zone and giant deck chair.
After the picnic, the community are invited to a Boom Battle Bar at Regent Circus for a free pride celebration with an evening of live entertainment and music.
Denise Dymond, trustee for the charity said, “The Pride Picnic will be a festival of freedom and fabulousness, a chance to celebrate who we are, and these events are always popular with our supporters for a reason. This year we’re proud to be joining up with Boom Battle Bar, it will be an 18+ event and make sure you order your tickets and don’t miss out!”
