REVIEW: Dear Zoo at Wyvern Theatre

Our Sales and Marketing Director, Rachael, and her 5-year-old Daughter attended the performance of Dear Zoo on Saturday (17th March) at the Wyvern Theatre. Here's what she thought!

Having read the book, I was keen to see if the stage production could do justice. It did not disappoint.

Rod Campbells pop up book originally published in 1982 is brought to life fantastically on the stage.

Generations of children have grown up with this timeless classic, it was great to reminisce.

The story follows Ben and his friend Sally as they wait to see what the Zoo will send them when they receive his letter to send him a pet… what follows is all kinds of animals both big and small, fierce and naughty, tall and short.

Delightfully engaging with fantastic puppets and just the right amount of audience integration.

The stage setting is bright and bold with just enough going on to keep little minds entertained.

It’s a perfect combination of fun and learning.

Lasting just under an hour the length is perfect to keep little minds engaged. A must see for little ones!
