Rock for Heroes is produced by Total Productions, the director (also the lead performer) said “There is nobility, an honour and a dignity to any man or woman prepared to lay themselves down so that I and everyone else may go about our daily lives. These people are heroes, true heroes, and they fight not because they hate what they face, but because they love what they have left behind. Rock for Heroes will continue for as long as we can to make sure that these men and women are not forgotten! Each performer in Rock for Heroes, has someone who has served or is serving in some capacity and it means so much to be able raise the much needed funds to support these incredible people.”

Phil Hawkins, a RFH producer & cast member was also asked questions, such as:

•  Why do you do Rock For Heroes?

"As a young man I was surrounded by military men, I remember being struck by the air of dignity and nobility they have. As I aged myself I began to realise the enormity of what these men and women actually do. To make a decision where you essentially put your life on the line for the lives of countless others that you have never met, that’s the act of a hero.

We should never ever forget those that didn’t return to their homes and we should always support those that did return but, with the scars of the sights that only they and their fellow brothers and sisters in arms can understand. A Soldier doesn’t fight for themselves, they fight with the weight of a nation on their shoulders and as we stand on the shoulders of these giants we should respect and remember the burden they carry for us."

• How long has RFH been running and where do you see the show in 5 years?

"2 years now, amazing what we have achieved in that time, our following has grown enormously and we have so many people return over and over again. We have raised tens of thousands currently. In 5 years I would like to have played all over the world and raised millions!! I also truly want to perform for the troops and this is something I’m actively looking into."

• What songs & artistes will you be performing in the show?

"We will performing hits from legends such as; Status Quo, Queen, Dire Straits, David Bowie, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Whitesnake, Toto, The Eagles, Europe, Bon Jovi and so many more."

• Who is in the show?

"We are an 8 piece band, who have performed all over the world in Bands, Musicals, West End Shows, UK & European Tours and consist of Phil Hawkins (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Will Norton (Lead Vocals), Luke Britnell (Lead Guitar), Georgia Norton (Vocals), Eloise Gray (Vocals), Jon Dawes (Drums) Adam Banbridge (Bass), Hayley Baker (Keys) and Paul Finch (Sounds Man)"

Rock for Heroes collects after every show and they have a goal, a big one, to raise £2.5 million for Help for Heroes. So far they have raised over £20,000 since they began touring two years ago. They’ve also had the honour of being asked to the Help for Heroes centres across the country to see how their donations are being used and they’ve had the pleasure of meeting some incredible people along the way. They’re excited to continue raising funds and performing across the country this year and next with a 150+ date tour schedule!
